One of the intentions of this site is to support people in speaking out and to help revitalize what has been termed "the public sphere". The public sphere is the forum for the discussion of important issues of the day and has been mostly degraded into meaninglessness by profit driven media companies who present "the news". Luckily for us, the internet provides a ground level platform on which a great deal of intellectual freedom can be expressed and shared.
